I see, thank you! Which software is NC2? I can't seem to find what it stands for by googling. This isnt the same as using the Crop tool when you. I am using laptop tough so it is easy to be next to the camera. If you need to zoom in or out of your image in Photoshop to get a better view, or perform detailed editing work, you can use the Zoom tool. I was able to use LV on my screen with NC2 though. As soon as I stuck USB cable in, the LV turned off. It's more comfortable too, especially with the camera on a tripod. Also, it's much easier to focus using 5x-10x zoom with live view. The viewfinder you mean? It's not always accessible on a tripod. Really quite a big oversight imo.īut why do you need Live View? Why can't you use your camera like you normally use it? Open almost any image format like PSD (Photoshop), PXD, Jpeg, PNG (Transparent), webP, SVG and many more. Sometimes I need a monitor.sometimes the camera is more convenient. Not just for focus either but for moving the product very slightly - often the viewfinder is out of reach but the screen is visible. Otherwise, I would have to turn the focus ring.walk to the computer to look at the screen.walk back to the camera! The connected device would be my PC, which isn't right in front of the product like the camera would be so it's much more convenient to have the Live view also on the camera. In fact, it is easier to use the device since you can more easily set the exact point to focus on (I´m referring to apps like Helicon Remote, qDSLR, Control my Nikon to name a few). I don´t understand why you would want to set focus via the body LV but not via the connected device, which works just as well. You can tether to a phone, tablet or computer and have the LV on that device, but not on the camera body while tethered. On the D810, can you switch between live view to the tethered device and live view to the camera LCD using a button on the camera, or on the computer?
